Job summary

Thinkit Resources in Wimbledon, United Kingdom, is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer on a permanent basis to join our growing MSP team. You will provide day-to-day support of our clients' cloud systems and security.

You will handle firewall tasks (FortiGate), hardware troubleshooting in Windows environments, and O365 conditional access and SharePoint configuration. You will contribute to project/client management, delivering solutions on time and communicating clearly with clients about

• FortiGate firewall expertise required.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware in Windows environments.
• Experience with O365 conditional access and SharePoint setup.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for client cloud systems and security.
• Deal with firewall questions and concrete security configurations.
• Update and maintain knowledge of cloud infrastructure and monitoring tools.
• Test and rollout updates to firewalls and routers.
• Participate in running MSP client projects and communication with clients.

My client is currently looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to come on board on a permanent basis and join there growing team

The role will be to provide day to day support of all our clients’ cloud systems and security.

Operations

• Create scripts to improve cloud deployment and reporting mainly in SharePoint.
• Be a dedicated support point for detailed firewall questions.
• Ensure good working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and monitoring tools across the team.
• Update Security and Network information to accurately account for changes in infrastructure
• Test and rollout updates to firewalls and routers.

Project Management or Client Management

• Deal with the management tasks associated with running a busy MSP.
• Have delivered projects on time and budget or have been the dedicated point of contact for multiple clients and able to explain to clients the best solution for them.
• Keep up to date with new product roll outs and pricing changes and ensure we capture the changes in our client billing.
• Understand costs of solutions and engineering time.

Essential Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of a leading firewall vendor (FortiGate ideal)
• Expert knowledge of hardware troubleshooting Windows environments.
• O365 conditional access and share point setup.
