Job summary

NexGen Cloud is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own OpenStack and Kubernetes environments supporting GPU workloads. You’ll design, deploy, and operate critical infrastructure with end-to-end ownership in a fast-moving AI cloud platform.

You’ll automate using IaC and GitOps, improve reliability, and drive security across container and network layers. Collaboration across Platform, DevOps, AI, Product, and Support will be key to delivering scalable, high-performance infrastructure as

Qualifications

• Exposure to GPU infrastructure, HPC, or large-scale compute environments.
• OpenStack production experience and building OpenStack environments.
• Proven experience operating Kubernetes at scale, bare-metal or private cloud.
• Solid understanding of Linux, networking, and storage systems.
• Experience with infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and Git-based workflows.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to scale in fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Own design, deployment, and operation of OpenStack and Kubernetes environments.
• Build and improve infrastructure using IaC and GitOps.
• Optimise GPU workload scheduling with Kubernetes and NVIDIA tooling.
• Lead incident response and improve platform reliability.
• Maintain security controls across infrastructure and containers.
• Collaborate with Platform, DevOps, AI, Product, and Support teams.
