Job summary

AXA UK is seeking a Senior Information Security Officer on a 6-month fixed term contract. You will deliver security initiatives across AXA UK Group, assessing risk and building pragmatic controls within the UK risk appetite.

The role involves cross-functional teams, third‑party risk guidance, and ensuring security policies are upheld. You will work with IT teams to design secure solutions, drive process improvements, and develop pragmatic security outcomes across programmes and products.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in delivering information security initiatives, including change management and risk mitigation.
• Sound knowledge of IT environment issues and information requirements.
• Project management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong time management for demanding workloads.
• Desirable knowledge: Windows 11, ITIL, AI, Cloud Security, Coding & Scripting, Application Security, Big Data, Server hardening, Architecture & Networking.
• Relevance of professional qualifications such as CISSP/CISM/MIISP encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Deliver UK Security projects, enhance controls and close risks on time and budget.
• Form cross-department teams to support delivery and address security challenges.
• Build secure solutions measurable by coverage, quantity, and quality metrics.
• Provide technical consultancy on third party risk for specific solutions.
• Act as SME to business and Security team members.
• Proactively investigate new threats and propose mitigations.
• Ensure AXA Security Policies are met and net positive risk posture.
• Collaborate with UK Security to streamline processes and reduce info security risk.
