Job summary

Change Recruitment seeks an Information Risk Senior Manager in Edinburgh to lead a specialist team within an established risk function and shape how the organisation manages security risk as AI and new technologies expand.

You will oversee information and technology risk, data protection and emerging tech, challenging technical staff while communicating risk implications clearly to senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in cyber security, information security or technology risk.
• Ability to discuss technical issues credibly with security specialists and explain business impact to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience with structured security frameworks (e.g., NIST) and risk-based assurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the Information Risk team with clear priorities across a broad portfolio.
• Direct assurance programs covering penetration testing, cyber resilience, cloud services, and third parties.
• Challenge security findings and articulate actions to technical and operational teams.
• Maintain risk frameworks and policies, including ISO 27001 considerations.
• Assess security implications of technology change and AI adoption.
• Support incident preparation and learnings to strengthen controls.
• Present clear advice to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
