Job summary

Thales is recruiting an Information Assurance/Technical Security Specialist in Crawley to provide technical security guidance across through-life management of Thales information and systems. You will describe security controls, perform risk assessments, and ensure compliance with UK government and Thales policies.

Role requires strong cloud security experience (Azure, Office 365), ability to work across regulated environments, and readiness to obtain SC clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience applying security principles within an agile delivery framework.
• Subject matter expert in evaluating and implementing technical security products for public or private sectors.
• Experience identifying and managing technical security risks with mitigation strategies.
• Experience with security assurance and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, DefStan 05-138, NIST, NCSC).
• Understanding of cloud and on-premises security across MS Office 365, Azure, AWS, and related services.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical security guidance and through-life assurance for IS environments.
• Act as Technical Security PoC supporting project lifecycles.
• Conduct security reviews of platform changes and manage risk and mitigations.
• Guide secure deployment and usage of cloud infrastructure (Azure) and SaaS services.
• Develop security requirements, epics and stories for squads with governance.
• Lead incident response and collaborate with the UK Incident management team.
