The Post:
As a vital part of NHS Scotland, NHS National Services Scotland’s mission is to enable and support the delivery of better care and value. We do this by providing a range of specialised support services that allow NHS Boards to focus on health improvement and patient care.
Based at Eurocentral, NHS Scotland Counter Fraud Services (CFS) aims to protect NHS Scotland from fraud and financial crime. CFS offers a comprehensive, integrated, and professional service by proactively identifying and investigating suspected financial crimes.
You will play a key role in the statistical function, which includes data sourcing, collection, analysis, interpretation, research, and reporting to support counter fraud activities. Additionally, the post holder will assist in delivering and maintaining quality improvement and management information tools.
The Candidate:
We seek a candidate with demonstrable experience in data analytics to develop our artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities, particularly in procurement and primary care payment integrity systems. Experience in law enforcement or financial crime environments would be advantageous.
You should hold a Mathematics / Statistics Degree (or similar numerate qualification), possess good IT skills, and have experience with data analysis and statistical tools. Knowledge of health information systems is desirable.
