Google Cloud\'s Mandiant team seeks an experienced Incident Response Consultant to lead large, client-facing engagements across cloud, endpoint and network environments. You\'ll identify attacker tools and indicators, and translate findings into actionable guidance while coordinating with executives and legal counsel.

You will train and mentor junior consultants, develop robust reports and trainings, and deliver strategic recommendations under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field
• 5 years of investigative experience with network forensics, malware triage analysis, cloud forensics, or memory forensics
• 5 years of experience working end-to-end incident response investigations, analysis, or containment actions
• Experience in Linux or Unix
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Responsabilités

• Recognize and codify attacker tools, tactics, and procedures (TTPs) and indicators of compromise (IOCs) for investigations
• Build scripts, tools, or methodologies to enhance incident investigation processes
• Develop and present comprehensive reports, trainings, and presentations for technical and executive audiences
• Conduct host forensics, network forensics, log analysis, and malware triage in support of investigations

Formation

This role follows a weekend schedule covering 10-hour daily shifts from Friday through Monday.

Remote location: United Kingdom.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of investigative experience with network forensics, malware triage analysis, cloud forensics, or disk and memory forensics.
• 5 years of experience working end-to-end incident response investigations, analysis, or containment actions.
• Experience in Linux or Unix.
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

• Certifications in cloud platforms and GCFA, GCFE, GNFA, GCIA, GREM, GCIH, GX-FA or equivalent.
• Experience in security competitions, capture the flags (CTFs) or testing platforms such as Hack the Box, TryHackMe, Overthewire, etc.
• Ability to communicate investigative findings and strategies to technical staff, executive leadership, legal counsel, and internal and external clients.
• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to communicate findings and new initiatives to executive leaders.
• Effective time management skills to balance time among multiple tasks and mentor junior consultants as needed.

In this role, you will use your deep understanding of both existing and emerging threat actors, experience identifying rapidly changing tools, tactics and procedures of attackers, and strong computer forensics response knowledge and skills. You must be able to see the big picture, understand evolving attacker behavior and motivations, participate and manage large client-facing projects, and train and mentor other security consultants.

You will be responsible for providing expert support under tight deadlines to clients during critical security incidents, possess strong business acumen, and have the ability to lead, train, and mentor other consultants.
