UK Atomic Energy Authority in Culham is seeking a Structural Integrity Engineer to support the in-vessel engineering program. You will develop design criteria, run finite element analyses, and contribute to the integrity assessment of fusion components.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in solid mechanics, engineering science, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of design criteria and integrity assessment methodologies.
• Experience in structural and thermal engineering and validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead work packages in In-vessel systems from concept to detailed design and integrity assessment.
• Produce technical reports and design substantiation.
• Manage and mentor engineers; interact with subcontractors and suppliers.
