Job Title: Senior Implementation Engineer

Location: Field Based

Employment Type: Contract

IR35: Inside

Contract Length: 12 months

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Implementation Engineer to join their Architecture & Engineering team.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing a regional deployment function to support the design, integration, and management of the client's active network platform. You will play a key role in delivering and improving network services, including site design, change management, commissioning, and deployment processes. This is a hands-on, technical role suitable for someone with strong network deployment experience and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop regional deployment practices for new builds, augmentations, and network migrations to ensure timely service delivery.
• Design and maintain physical installation pack templates and processes for network changes and expansions.
• Guide engineers through network resource integration, including configuration and inventory management.
• Drive process improvements focusing on data integrity, efficiency, and automation.
• Provide expertise on network deployment, activation, and construction activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a high-performance team.
• Coordinate with partner installation teams, ensure quality assurance, and maintain deployment standards.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure a reliable supply chain.
• Manage network changes and deployments according to technical and operational standards.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Proven experience in network deployment and planning, preferably in a multivendor environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to lead and build a diverse technical team.
• Familiarity with commissioning and troubleshooting tools.
• Understanding of Ethernet & IP (Layer 2 and 3 technologies).
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and process efficiency.
• Experience with electrical cabling/wiring systems.

Desirable:

• Experience with analytics and automation techniques for build processes.
• Exposure to operational quality and process improvement initiatives.
