Job summary

Klipboard is seeking an experienced ERP Finance Consultant to lead ERP One finance implementations across Enterprise projects in the UK. The role combines delivery leadership with hands-on design and customer engagement.

You’ll mentor consultants, shape project scopes, and drive continuous improvement while travelling to client sites across the UK with a valid driving license. A strong finance/accounting background and 5+ years in ERP consultancy are preferred.

Qualifications

• ERP finance implementation experience with multiple end-to-end projects.
• 5+ years of ERP consultancy with strong customer-facing skills.
• Finance/Accounting background and related qualifications.
• Clear, concise verbal and written communication abilities.
• Willing to travel UK with full UK driving license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead ERP One finance implementations on Enterprise and Tailored projects; manage scope and quality.
• Own day-to-day delivery: schedules, risks/issues, progress with customers and PMO.
• Guide key decisions on process design, data, integrations, and timelines.
• Resolve escalations end-to-end and feed lessons learned into improvement.
• Deliver advanced ERP One finance capabilities and create documentation and enablement materials.
• Mentor and coach consultants; support learning culture.
• Shape scopes and plans for upcoming work focusing next 3 weeks.
• Drive cross-team initiatives to elevate delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead ERP One finance implementations on Enterprise and Tailored projects, ensuring scope, plan, and quality targets are met.
• Own day‑to‑day delivery: maintain schedules, manage risks/issues, and proactively communicate progress with customers and Project Managers/PMO.
• Guide key decisions on process design, data, integrations, and change impacts with a pragmatic view of timelines, commercials, and customer outcomes.
• Resolve escalations end‑to‑end and feed lessons learned into continuous improvement.
• Deliver advanced/niche ERP One finance capabilities (from the Service Catalogue) and become a Capability Lead—producing clear documentation and enablement materials.
• Mentor and coach consultants: buddy new joiners, provide structured feedback, and contribute to a strong learning culture.
• Shape scopes and plans for upcoming work (with a keen focus on the next 3 weeks) to ensure predictable, high‑quality delivery.
• Drive cross‑team initiatives that improve how Professional Services partners with other departments and elevates delivery excellence.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Collaboration first: partner with customers, consultants, and Project Managers/PMO for transparent plans and proactive risk management.
• Continuous improvement: share feedback with our Centre of Excellence and Management teams to enhance methodology, tooling, and outcomes.
• ERP finance implementation experience with multiple successful end‑to‑end projects.
• ERP consultancy experience (typically 5+ years) with strong customer‑facing skills.
• Finance/Accounting background (qualification and ~5+ years’ finance role experience or equivalent).
• Clear, concise communication—verbal and written—with the ability to influence and simplify complexity.
• Strong organization and resilience in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments; proactive problem‑solver.
• Ability to travel to customer sites across the UK; full, valid UK driving licence required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).

Nice to Have

• Expertise in advanced ERP One finance modules and adjacent processes (e.g., costing, revenue recognition, multi‑entity, multi‑currency).
• Deep knowledge of ERP One core finance processes and related best practices.
• Mentoring/coaching experience and an interest in developing others.
• Exposure to enterprise‑scale implementations with complex integrations and data migration.

How you’ll grow and what success looks like (6-12 months)

• You’re the go‑to expert for advanced ERP One finance capabilities and a named Capability Lead with clear documentation in place.
• You’ve led multiple finance workstreams to go‑live with strong customer satisfaction and predictable commercial outcomes.
• You’re mentoring consultants, raising delivery standards, and improving repeatability across projects.
