Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fourth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing and transport. Senior Immunisation Nurse

Salary: $98,273.24 per annum pro rata

Part time (16hrs p/w) - Permanent

Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking a passionate and qualified Immunisation Nurse to fill in the role of Senior Immunisation Nurse.

Council’s Immunisation Team delivers 8 public clinics each month targeting infants from 6 weeks to 4 years old, secondary school students in Year 7 & Year 10 and the general public for Flu vaccinations according to the National Immunisation Program.

As Council’s Senior Immunisation Nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Administration of age appropriate scheduled vaccinations to the community of Greater Shepparton in accordance with the Australian Immunisation Handbook, The National Immunisation Schedule and Victorian Government funded immunisation program.
  • Provide clinical advice in relation to eligibility for vaccination, post vaccination care and the preparation of catch-up vaccination plan;
  • Organise the rostering of our team of passionate immunisation nurses;
  • Provide supervision and leadership to our immunisation team to deliver an efficient and effective immunisation service;
  • Monitor vaccine supplies and assist in administrative duties in relation to maintaining client records.
