Job summary

Safran Electrical & Power seeks a Senior ILS Engineer for the Pitstone site in Buckinghamshire. The role provides aftermarket support, optimises service readiness, and drives whole-life cost efficiency. You will guide ILS work packages and lead small cross-functional project teams across disciplines.

You will engage with program teams, analyse maintainability and TAT, and shape commercial offerings while ensuring continued profitability for parts and services to a global customer base.

Qualifications

• Degree or substantial experience in aerospace, engineering or automotive
• Knowledge and use of ILS, reliability and maintainability
• Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
• Appreciation of constraints of working within a regulated industry
• Ability to derive best support solutions in a complete systems environment from technical and commercial perspectives
• Ability to persuade stakeholders to change approach using data and analysis
• Comfortable with demanding customers to define best ways to support the business
• Evidence of written English at interview stage.

We are looking for passionate individuals to join our Engineering Product Support team as a Senior ILS Engineer at our Pitstone site in Buckinghamshire.

The Role

As a Senior ILS Engineer at Safran Electrical & Power you will offer excellent support and service solutions to our customers in the aftermarket, optimising elements of the product design to enable the provision of complete support to our global customer base. You will support on various projects, producing and updating service support readiness plans. You will play a key role in influencing the commercial offering, optimising whole life costs. You will model and plan ILS work packages of varying sizes, leading small project teams of varying disciplines.

• Ensure we offer complete support and service solutions to our customers in the aftermarket
• Work with program teams to provide all elements for a successful entry into service and ongoing support for new products
• Produce and update service support readiness plans, conducting ILS analysis including maintainability assessments and Turn Around Time (TAT) analysis
• Ensure continued profitability from the parts and services that we provide to our customer base
• Plan ILS work packages of various sizes and manage them to completion
• Liaise with various key stakeholders to determine the best support solution for a customer or platform
• Lead project teams of around 1 to 5 people
