Job summary

RED ENGINEERING DESIGN LIMITED is seeking a Senior ICT & Security Design Engineer to be based in London, Bicester or Newcastle. The role covers ICT infrastructure, network design and security installations for diverse projects.

You will lead client-facing studies, oversee medium-sized projects and coordinate with engineers, contractors and management to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• At least 5–10 years' appropriate employment experience.
• Experience in ICT infrastructure, building ICT fit-out migration and occupation.
• Experience in ICT consultancy and project management.
• Security consultancy experience.
• Construction project management with a technology emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Carries out cost and profit diagnosis on projects including feasibility studies and preparation of fee bids.
• Reviews status advised by project personnel and external parties and modifies schedules or plans as required.
• Prepares project reports for Management, Client or others.
• Represents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors’ teams.
• Support the delivery of projects in accordance with the expectations of the RED Project Delivery Process from a Project Management, Financial Management, QA/QC and Technical Review perspective.
• Day to day decision making on project progress and direct liaison with, and provides advice to client.
• Responsible for running of medium size projects.
• Undertakes a client facing role in the development and design and coordination of engineering project services for ICT/Security installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc.
• Responsible for technical content and accuracy of Trainee, Graduates and Engineers
