Catering in Glasgow seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to architect and operate enterprise Hyper‑V virtual infrastructure across global data centres. You will own cluster design, automation, and performance engineering to support tens of thousands of workloads.

The role focuses on Hyper‑V, Windows Server, PowerShell, and .NET‑based workload management, with collaboration across hardware and software teams; previous enterprise Hyper‑V experience is a strong differentiator.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure engineering in virtualization, storage, networking, and Windows Server administration.
• Strong enterprise Hyper‑V experience: failover clustering, live migration, storage spaces/S2D, virtual networking.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Hyper‑V cluster architectures including failover clustering, live migration, storage configuration, and network topology across global data centre pools.
• Create and maintain automation for virtualization lifecycle management using PowerShell, WMI, and a .NET-based workload management platform.
• Develop and maintain automation for Hyper‑V host configuration, cluster provisioning, rolling upgrades, and compliance using DSC and scripts.
• Audit performance of complex virtual infrastructure and maintain high-level design documents and diagrams.
