Senior Hydrographic Surveyor

Offshore / Remote

£55,000 - £65,000 + £250 a day uplift for additional offshore days + Healthcare + Life Assurance + Great Benefits

Are you an experienced Hydrographic Surveyor ready to step into a senior role where you will lead critical projects, be the go-to technical expert, and shape strategic direction?

This well-established company, a key part of a leading energy solutions provider for onshore and offshore, stands as a global specialist in land and marine surveying. Fueled by a passionate team of industry experts, they've seen rapid expansion and great success, and are now looking to expand their team of highly skilled professionals to drive further growth.

In this role, the Senior Hydrographic Surveyor will take on an autonomous role, leading on hydrographic activities, maintaining all survey equipment, providing technical support for clients and colleagues, and contributing to strategic project planning and execution.

This role would suit an experienced Hydrographic Surveyor with the confidence to lead on projects, looking to take a step up into a senior position within a dynamic organisation.

The Role:

  • 180 working days total; 120 days offshore, remaining 60 days either offshore (£250 uplift per day) or remote / office based
  • Maintain all survey equipment and software, including proper use, maintenance, and packing.
  • Manage project data, ensuring it's backed up and processing managers are informed.
  • Provide technical support to clients and team members, collaborating within a specialist team.
  • Support hydrographic survey managers in project completion, strategy, and risk communication.
  • Contribute to project administration, client liaison, resource allocation, and fieldwork.


The Person:

  • Experienced Hydrographic Surveyor
  • Ability to take the lead on projects and manage others
  • Competent using relevant tools and software such as GNSS, MRU, Multibeam Echosounders, Sidescan Sonars
