  • Oversee data handling and liaise with processing teams.
  • Support technical queries and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Contribute to project planning, execution, and strategy.
  • Maintain project documentation and liaise with clients.
  • Conduct equipment calibrations and verifications.
  • Perform hydrographic data acquisition and QA.
  • Attend site meetings and manage project risks.
  • Promote QHSE standards and continuous improvement.

Job Title: Senior Hydrographic Surveyor
Location: Remote (with flexibility for offshore, onshore, and home/office-based work)
Salary: £55,000-£65,000 + Health Cover + Pension
Contract Type: Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hydrographic Surveyor to join a dynamic and growing offshore energy team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual to lead technical aspects of hydrographic survey operations, including vessel mobilisation, data acquisition, processing, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead hydrographic survey operations and vessel mobilisation
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of survey equipment and sensors
  • Assist vessel master with safety-related matters
  • Manage hire kit logistics and equipment demobilisation
  • Oversee data handling and liaise with processing teams
  • Support technical queries and collaborate with internal teams
  • Contribute to project planning, execution, and strategy
  • Maintain project documentation and liaise with clients
  • Conduct equipment calibrations and verifications
  • Perform hydrographic data acquisition and QA
  • Attend site meetings and manage project risks
  • Promote QHSE standards and continuous improvement
Skills & Experience:
  • Proven competence in hydrographic surveying procedures
  • Skilled in GNSS, MRU, Multibeam Echosounders, Sidescan Sonars
  • Strong communication skills across all levels
  • Experience with ASANA project management software
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Degree in Hydrographic Surveying or a related science-based discipline
  • Competitive salary (£55-65K)

  • Minimum 120 days offshore
  • Up to 60 days onshore with an additional £250/day for any offshore over the 120 days
