Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist in Stoke-on-Trent to lead hydrogeological assessments, investigations and monitoring programmes across UK water environment projects. The ideal candidate holds a related degree, UK hydrogeology experience, and Chartered status or progress toward it, with strong reporting and communication skills and a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• UK hydrogeology or water environment experience.
• Degree in Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Geoscience or related discipline.
• Experience of hydrogeological studies, water monitoring and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of UK water legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Strong technical reporting and communication skills.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership.
• A driving licence permitting you to drive in the UK.
• GIS, analysis or modelling software experience would be advantageous rather than essential.

Are you a Senior Hydrogeologist looking for greater technical responsibility and the opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of UK water environment projects? This is an opportunity to join an established multidisciplinary consultancy with strong opportunities for continued career development.

The Senior Hydrogeologist will work across hydrogeological assessment and water environment projects within the renewables, infrastructure, power, industrial and built environment sectors.

The Senior Hydrogeologist role will include:

• Leading hydrogeological assessments, investigations and monitoring programmes
• Preparing and reviewing EIA water chapters
• Water environment assessments and abstraction licensing
• Hydrogeological risk assessment and groundwater permitting
• Technical analysis, interpretation and reporting
• Client management, proposals and multidisciplinary project delivery
• Mentoring and supporting less experienced team members

The Senior Hydrogeologist should have:
