Job description

Senior Hydraulic Engineer - up to 55,000 + private health care - East Anglia

We are seeking an experienced Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join a leading manufacturer of hydraulic-powered machinery. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in hydraulic systems and a background in manufacturing. The position involves both workshop-based build.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and assemble hydraulic power packs and associated systems

  • Work with pumps, manifolds, valves, pipework, and hydraulic controls

  • Read and interpret hydraulic circuit diagrams and technical schematics

  • Support site acceptance testing (SAT) and commissioning activities

  • Collaborate with internal teams including production and electrical

  • Travel to customer sites as required (rare)

What We're Looking For:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering

  • CETOP IH2 minimum, IH3 preferred (or equivalent MH2/MH3 certification)

  • 5+ years' experience working with hydraulic systems

  • Familiarity with electrical systems and industrial controls

  • Experience in industrial, marine, mobile, or offshore hydraulics

  • Some experience in fabrication and welding is beneficial
