Job title: Senior Hydraulic Structures Engineer (Contract)

Engagement type: On Payroll

Location: National - Epsom / Bristol / Manchester

Start Date: June 2024

End date: 6-12 months

Hours per week: 40

Charge Rate per hour: Will compare to market rates and level of experience

Qualification required for this role: Chartered + 5yrs minimum

Expenses: Yes - Site visits etc. No - normal commute

Notice Period to Contractor: 2 weeks

Vetting Level: Ideally C, however will depend on role

• Prepare briefs, scope of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
• Manage time and budgets to meet project milestones and programmes.
• Collaborate with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.

What you can bring

• Chartered Civil Engineer.
• Experience leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
• Knowledge of gates, sluices, and hydraulic structures for dams, reservoirs, and flood control.
• Familiarity with UK design standards, construction logistics, and accessibility considerations.
• Proficiency in digital analysis packages, following local and national guidance.
