Job summary

DCS Recruitment is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Birmingham, with strong Revit expertise for building services. You will develop concept through detailed design and working drawings for commercial and fit-out projects, focusing on HVAC, LTHW/CHW, ductwork and pipework, coordinating with other disciplines and delivering coordinated, buildable solutions.

This hands-on role requires independent work across multiple projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring designs meet

Qualifications

Strong experience in mechanical building services design.
Hands-on Autodesk Revit experience – essential.
Experience designing HVAC/mechanical services including LTHW, CHW, ventilation, AC, ductwork and pipework.
Ability to take designs from concept through to detailed/working drawings.

Responsibilities

Develop mechanical building services designs from concept through to detailed design and working drawings.
Produce and develop Revit models and coordinated mechanical layouts.
Design HVAC and mechanical services including LTHW, CHW, ventilation, ductwork and pipework.
Produce accurate mechanical design calculations and technical information.
Coordinate designs with other disciplines and resolve design issues.
Work independently across multiple projects and deliver designs to programme and deadlines.
Support project delivery from design through to construction.
Provide technical guidance to more junior engineers where required.
