NUVIA UK is seeking a Principal HVAC Building Services Engineer in Milton Park, Oxfordshire. The role leads multi-disciplinary design teams to deliver safe, compliant building services for high‑risk projects in the nuclear, defence and energy sectors.

The senior engineer will manage scope, ensure design quality, and coordinate contractor activities across phases, with a hybrid work pattern and strong career development opportunities within a national/international framework.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of fundamentals in engineering discipline.
• Experience in senior roles delivering building services for nuclear projects.
• Proven track record of delivering design solutions.
• Knowledge of design requirements supporting nuclear safety cases.
• Knowledge of safety legislation and regulatory standards.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
• High level of commercial awareness.
• Management of multi-discipline engineering/design teams.
• Leadership of a technical team in project delivery.
• Experience managing sub-contracts.
• Ability to develop engineering capability for bids.
• Full membership of a discipline-specific engineering institution.
• Expert in building services design and nuclear industry leadership.
• Experience of containment and process ventilation systems.
• Experience of design substantiation.
• Construction site/commissioning experience.
• Experience in nuclear or highly regulated industries.
• A full UK driving licence
