Job summary

NUVIA UK is seeking a Principal HVAC Building Services Engineer to lead multi-discipline design delivery for nuclear, defence and energy projects at Milton Park, Oxfordshire. This senior role requires delivering safe, compliant and high-quality design on time and within budget.

The position is permanent with a competitive salary up to £68,000 and a comprehensive benefits package. You will join a growing, national engineering team delivering critical national infrastructure and advanced energy

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of fundamentals in engineering discipline.
• Senior role in management and design delivery of Building Services for nuclear projects.
• Proven track record delivering design solutions.
• Understanding of design requirements to support nuclear safety cases.
• Knowledge of safety legislation and statutory regulations.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
• High level of commercial awareness.
• Management of multi-discipline engineering and design teams.
• Leadership of a technical team within a project delivery environment.
• Experience of managing sub-contracts.
• Ability to develop engineering capability response in bids.
• Full membership of a discipline specific engineering institution.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions and governance of design deliverables.
• Check/approve design deliverables and contribute to design reviews.
• Lead safety reviews and ensure timely delivery of documentation.
• Coordinate multi-discipline design work and contractor management.
• Support bid preparation and capability responses.
• Recruitment interviews and team development.
