Job summary

Deploy Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Senior Primary Design Engineer to lead high-quality primary engineering designs for HV substations and power infrastructure. Working for a FTSE 250 company you will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with project managers, clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in primary design within HV substations (e.g. 33kV-400kV).
• Strong knowledge of UK / international standards and utility requirements.
• Proven ability to lead design tasks and review the work of others.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Chartered or working towards Chartered Engineer status (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead primary design for HV substations and related infra
• Produce and review layouts, GA drawings, specs, reports
• Ensure compliance with standards, specs, safety
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
• Interface with clients, contractors, stakeholders
• Support project planning, cost estimates, risk assessments
• Improve design processes and standards
