Job summary

A leading renewable energy consultancy in Scunthorpe is looking for a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join their High Voltage Renewables team. This role involves leading primary electrical designs for HV and EHV substations and balance of plant projects. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, ensure compliance with industry standards, and mentor junior team members. A degree in Electrical Engineering and relevant experience in the renewables or power sector are essential. Hybrid working arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in primary electrical design of HV/EHV AC substations.
• Strong understanding of HV and EHV installation practices and standards.
• Experience in consultancy, contractor, or utility environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead production of primary electrical designs for substations.
• Develop and check earthing designs including modelling.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
