Job summary

NMS Recruit Ltd t/a Russell Taylor Group in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, is seeking an HV/Power Engineer. You will act as the site's Authorised Person for HV switching, isolation and permits, and you will plan upgrades and new connections to support site growth.

You will operate, inspect and maintain HV and LV switchgear, transformers, rectifiers and distribution systems, monitor power quality and energy use, and ensure compliance with Electricity at Work Regulations and BS 7671.

Qualifications

• HV switching and site power systems knowledge.
• Experience maintaining HV/LV distribution on industrial sites.
• Familiarity with Electricity at Work Regulations and BS 7671.

Responsibilities

• Act as the site's HV Authorised Person for switching, isolation and permits.
• Operate, inspect and maintain HV and LV switchgear, transformers and distribution systems.
• Plan and manage power upgrades and new connections as the site expands.
• Monitor power quality, load and energy use and suggest improvements.
• Keep electrical safety rules and HV records up to date.
