Job summary

Bucksburn Academy is seeking a qualified teacher to contribute to the management of the school and delivery of high-quality education in partnership with pupils, staff, parents and the community.

The post requires Full GTC (Scotland) Registration, PVG scheme membership, and an appropriate teaching qualification. The role is permanent and full-time within Aberdeen City Council’s education service.

Qualifications

• Must hold an appropriate teaching qualification.
• Full General Teaching Council (Scotland) Registration in the relevant subject/sector.
• PVG scheme membership is required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the management of Bucksburn Academy and the delivery of quality education through the involvement of pupils, staff, parents, multi-disciplinary agencies and the community it serves.
• Ensure compliance with national priorities, local improvement objectives and current legislation in collaboration with the Authority and school leadership.
