The Role

We are recruiting a Senior HR Business Partner to join the newly established Independent Commission for Reconciliation and Information Recovery (ICRIR).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and inspire a team of HR business partners.
  • Redefine the performance management process to support employee development and assist line managers in implementation.
  • Oversee employee reward and compensation policies to ensure competitiveness and fairness.
  • Analyze performance metrics, including employee retention and experience data, to identify areas for improvement and drive enhancements.
  • Manage complex cases, tribunals, and legal challenges.
  • Stay updated with employment law changes.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to establish the Learning & Development strategy.
  • Develop long-term diversity and inclusion initiatives to enable the ICRIR to flourish.
  • Support senior leaders in planning employee engagement interventions to boost performance.
  • Create a people strategy aligned with the ICRIR's priorities.
  • Act as the strategic HR business partner, working with senior leaders to model the desired culture.
  • Develop the ICRIR’s employee well-being strategy.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • A recognized CIPD Qualification at level 5/7 or equivalent.
  • Experience advising on complex HR and reward matters.
  • Experience in HR policy development and review.
  • Ability to build effective partnerships with senior leaders.
  • Leadership and management skills in HR teams.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to act as a Change Agent and deliver on key issues.
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines amidst competing demands.
  • Proactive team player.
  • Demonstrate the values outlined in the ICRIR Code of Conduct.
  • Experience using analytical tools.
  • Willingness to undergo CTC clearance assessment if not already cleared.
