Job description

Our client is seeking a Senior Human Resources Advisor to deliver a high-quality, efficient HR advisory service to partners, managers, and employees within designated jurisdictions and practice groups. The role involves supporting various HR processes, advising on employee relations issues, and collaborating with different teams to ensure smooth HR operations.

Job Duties:

  • Provide expert HR advice to managers and partners, resolving employee relations issues while managing risks effectively.
  • Interpret and apply HR policies and procedures in line with local legislation and the Employee Handbook.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the jurisdiction and practice area supported.
  • Support significant annual HR processes, such as salary reviews and bonus recommendations.
  • Facilitate internal and external secondments and transfers.
  • Conduct weekly HR induction sessions for new joiners.
  • Manage parental leave discussions, including necessary paperwork and associated tasks.
  • Schedule and manage retirement discussions.
  • Conduct employee exit interviews and contribute to retention strategies.
  • Oversee student schemes and training programmes with support from HR Administrators.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Provide support in managing high absence cases.
  • Assist the Relationship Manager with HR reporting requirements.
  • Cover workload during the absence of the Relationship Manager.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in an HR advisory role, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Fully CIPD qualified or working towards qualification.
  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident in engaging across all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
