Our client, a leading Financial Defined Benefit Pensions Company in the Basingstoke area, is actively seeking a very strong, highly skilled DB Pensions Administrator with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

You must have experience in DB & DC Pensions Administration as a Senior Technical Individual. In this role, you'll handle pension scheme members, explain pension processes, manage complex calculations, and stay updated with pension industry changes. Your work will help meet client expectations and facilitate effective communication with third parties.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Calculate complex retirement quotes and perform checks
  • Calculate complex leavers benefits and verify calculations
  • Calculate complex death benefits and conduct checks

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years in a DB pensions administration role
  • Progression towards a PMI qualification or equivalent, or willingness to study
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex ideas clearly
  • Proven experience with DB and DC occupational schemes, mainly DB
  • Good awareness of legislative issues
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to meet client SLAs and contribute to best practices
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including creating calculation templates

Role Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to team goals and develop your skills
  • Deliver pragmatic solutions and apply logical problem-solving
  • Support and develop team members
  • Prepare documentation and communicate with pension scheme members, clients, and third parties
  • Guide scheme members through their pension journey
  • Support the Team Leader and deputize during absences
  • Check calculations and assist with complex cases and non-standard queries
