Job summary

GDS Partners are recruiting an experienced HSEQ Manager to lead health, safety, environment and quality across the business. Based in Essex, the role is senior and hands-on with office focus and site visits.

You will drive continuous improvement of HSEQ systems, conduct audits and risk assessments, manage incidents and oversee contractor compliance, working closely with senior management and operational teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in HSEQ management within construction.
• Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Lead Auditor qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the HSEQ management systems and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety and environmental legislation.
• Manage and maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.
• Lead site inspections, audits, risk assessments and compliance reviews.
• Manage incident investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Oversee contractor and supply-chain HSEQ compliance.
• Lead internal audits and coordinate external, client and regulatory audits.
• Monitor HSEQ performance, trends and KPIs, reporting findings to senior management.
• Develop and deliver HSEQ training, briefings and awareness programmes.
• Promote a positive Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental culture across the business
