Responsibilities
  • Support JMAC Group in providing strategic leadership in the planning, implementation, & training to ensure we fulfil and exceed our obligations driving an inclusive culture and ensuring our integrated management systems are reflected by what we do, whilst working in line with legislation.
  • Lead on the further development, implementation and monitoring the delivery of our systems, procedures and culture throughout all businesses.
  • Lead the full function of Health, Safety Quality and Environment, reporting to the HSE Director within the organisation ensuring maximum effectiveness and efficiency in delivery of Health and Safety objectives.
  • Lead on development of HSEQ KPI's Indicators and manage the quality monitoring and reporting process for weekly/monthly or yearly targeting.
  • Lead on processes & Procedures to ensure on-going compliance with NASC and HSE standards/legislation is followed.
  • Provide professional leadership and advice and inform all employees of training requirements alongside statutory and legal requirements within the organisation.
  • Be visible on the workface and carry out internal audits and workforce monitoring using our digital auditing systems.
  • Attend client face to face meetings on behalf of the business as our HSEQ Manager representative, action and communicate findings driving continual improvement.
  • Ensure processes and procedures are in place to comply and fulfil the requirements of the workforce standards. Liaise with the operations teams to come up with workable solutions and improvements that can help and assist ourselves and the industry.
  • Assessing risks and measuring the severity for all aspects of industrial operations inclusive of but not limited to, Rope Access, Scaffolding, insulation, coatings, blasting, industrial cleaning.
  • Creating analytical reports of safety data for Accident, Incident and Near Misses using our digital Systems.
  • Attend bi-weekly operations meetings held by Operations Director - input into the meeting regarding H+S Performance.
  • Attend monthly senior leadership meetings - present H+S section based on previous months performance and statistics, identifying trends and actions required from senior management.
  • Work with and mentor HSEQ/Compliance Apprentice to ensure they progress and fulfil their career progression.
  • Presenting safety principles to staff in meetings or training sessions.
  • Participating in continuing education to update knowledge of health and safety protocols and techniques Including delivering Accredited training across the Group of companies.
  • Partaking and assisting in JMAC Mental Health campaigns - level 3 mental health first aid training to be given.
  • Auditing of the Finished Product/Scaffolding to ensure it is to the highest standards.
  • Creating safety Action plans that include suggested improvements to existing infrastructure and audits to be organised for safety systems products.

  • Sharing information, suggestions, and observations with project leadership to create consistency in safety standards throughout the production team and the entire company Meeting company Health and Safety Objectives and or Goals.
  • Investigating Root causes of accidents and other unsafe conditions.
  • Liaising with law enforcement (HSE/EHO) and other investigators in the event of a serious accident - Reviewing Findings of accidents, giving advice on the best way to prevent occurrent accident, Incident or Near Misses.
  • Reviewing and reporting on the staff's compliance with health and safety and recommendations or dismissal based on performance.
  • Chair the Monthly/Quarterly Health and Safety Committee Meetings
  • Manage and review the full aspects of JMAC Group accreditations throughout the Group of companies.
