Work Arrangement: Hybrid (up to 12 remote working days per month)

Overview:
We are supporting a high-profile offshore decommissioning project and are seeking an experienced Senior HSE Engineer to serve as the Health, Safety, and Environmental focal point during the project execution phase. You will play a central role in contractor engagement, regulatory compliance, and environmental planning for one of the most technically challenging phases of decommissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the HSE focal point for the offshore decommissioning phase 2 project
Support the ITT process, including technical review and bid evaluations
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors on HSE compliance
Manage the interface with environmental consultants to deliver required Environmental Appraisals (EA)
Provide input into safety case planning and submission
Ensure alignment with Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations
Lead or contribute to comparative assessments supporting decommissioning strategy
Oversee contractor compliance with PLANC and other regulatory frameworks
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Significant experience supporting offshore decommissioning, demolition, or heavy construction projects
Strong knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks (CDM, PLANC, HSE Guidelines)
Experience preparing or reviewing decommissioning programmes and environmental documentation
Expertise in managing contractor HSE performance in complex offshore environments
Experience with safety case development
Offshore survival and medical certification (e.g., BOSIET)
Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with cross-functional teams and regulatory bodies
