Job description

Job title:Senior HRBP

Location:Glascoed. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Circa £65,000 (depending on skills and experience)

What you’ll be doing:

You will be providing full client-facing operational HR business partner support for your areas of responsibility, including:

  • Responsible for the shaping and deployment of the People Strategy and Plan to meet the requirements across the PM and Engineering functions, including the three integrated delivery teams within the Munitions business
  • Partnering with senior leaders to enhance engagement and talent development specifically within the project management and engineering functions
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to Senior Leaders, providing support and coaching on complex and sensitive HR issues
  • Fostering a positive, inclusive culture and strong employee engagement
  • Managing and implementing key HR initiatives and projects, driving positive change and securing buy-in from senior stakeholders
  • Providing expert guidance and support to the Case Management Team on complex employee relations cases
  • Working in conjunction with Reward Centre of Excellence to deliver a smooth reward review

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Degree qualified in HR/Business or CIPD qualification
  • Experience of HR in a unionised business
  • Strong Operational & Strategic HR expertise with a drive for innovation and improvement
  • Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively across various levels of the organisation
  • A commercial mindset with a focus on delivering results and continuous improvement in HR processes
  • Well practiced in coaching managers day to day to enhance their knowledge, skills and capability
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritise tasks effectively

The Defence Solutions HR team:

Reporting to the Defence Solutions, Munitions HRD you will join a small team of seven who support the Munitions’ business, five of the team are Glascoed based. The team is close-knit, supportive and high performing having won several internal awards in the last couple of years supporting the fast-paced, growing business. Our recent merger with Maritime Services to become Defence Solutions provides further opportunity for collaboration and development.
