Job Description:

This is a permanent position reporting to the Head of HR Operations & Senior Reward and Benefits Manager within the Human Resources team at Farrer & Co, a firm renowned for high-quality legal advice and service. The firm advises a diverse clientele including individuals, families, and organizations, handling complex legal challenges with a pragmatic and client-focused approach.

The HR team develops and implements strategies aligned with the firm's goals, covering areas such as professional development, recruitment, diversity, employee relations, and organizational change.

Scope of the role includes:

  1. Creating and analyzing HR management information reports for the HR team and wider business.
  2. Acting as a super-user for core HR, payroll, benefits, and staff engagement systems, handling queries related to employee data, pay, benefits, and diversity reporting.
  3. Supporting payroll processes, benefits administration, and participating in salary and bonus reviews.

Responsibilities include:

HR and Payroll System:

  • Analyzing and improving HR system setup and service standards.
  • Being a super-user of the Cascade HR system, providing training and support.
  • Supporting data integrity, GDPR compliance, and system upgrades.

HR Management Information:

  • Developing HR MI offerings, creating reports, and analyzing trends using tools like Excel and Power BI.
  • Producing reports for various stakeholders and supporting diversity and inclusion strategies.

Staff Engagement Surveys - Peakon:

  • Supporting survey distribution, analysis, and reporting, highlighting key themes and insights.

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience as an HR Systems specialist, preferably within legal or professional services.
  • Experience with HR and Payroll systems, with Iris Cascade preferred.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially Power BI, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and collaborative mindset.

Additional Information:

This role offers flexible working options, including part-time (0.8 FTE) arrangements. The standard hours are 9:30 am - 5:30 pm, with flexibility for additional hours if needed. The firm promotes agile working, including home working, with a minimum of some days in the London office.
