Job summary

Equans is seeking a HR & Payroll Senior Data Migration Analyst to lead end-to-end migration of HR and payroll data into SAP ECC6, based in Newcastle or Rotherham on a 12-month basis. The role is 37.5 hours per week with a salary of £50,000-£60,000, plus car allowance, bonus and benefits.

You will work with HR, Payroll, IT and Capgemini to ensure data quality and a smooth go-live. You’ll join a Shared Services environment at Quorum and help decommission legacy systems while maintaining payroll

Qualifications

• Degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Human Resources, Payroll, or related discipline – desirable but NOT essential.
• Proven experience delivering data migration projects, ideally involving HR and payroll systems.
• Strong knowledge of HR and payroll data structures, including employee master data and payroll processes.
• Working knowledge of SAP HCM, SAP ECC6, SAP Payroll, or similar enterprise HR systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and large dataset analysis.
• Experience in data validation, cleansing, mapping, reconciliation, and migration testing.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and complete extraction of HR and payroll data from legacy systems.
• Improve data quality by cleansing and resolving data issues before migration.
• Deliver accurate mapping of HR and payroll data to SAP structures.
• Support SAP data loads by preparing, validating, and troubleshooting migration files.
• Provide post-migration validation and reconciliation.
• Enable UAT and Parallel Runs by providing high‑quality data.
• Maintain audit trails, reconciliation evidence, and migration documentation.
• Work collaboratively with HR, Payroll, IT teams, and implementation partners.
• Contribute to project planning, cutover readiness, RAID management, and status reporting.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and documentation for long-term maintenance.
• Ensure migration of ~2,300 employee records into SAP ECC6 with payroll continuity.
• Reduce risks by delivering trusted data within the SAP environment.
• Support decommissioning of legacy systems and adoption of standardised processes.
