We are seeking to appoint an experienced Senior HR Officer to provide a high-quality professional HR service to academics, researchers, and administrators within the Department. The Department currently has approximately 700 employees who are supported by 3 Senior HR Officers. Working within a friendly and collaborative team of 10 HR staff, you will be the main HR contact for circa 300 employees and will be responsible for providing wide-ranging HR support across the complete employee lifecycle. This includes managing recruitment campaigns, overseeing casework, and providing employee relations advice and support. This is a varied and busy role that requires the ability to balance multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines, form strong trusted relationships, and have a common-sense approach. We are looking for someone with a strong background in HR, and who is self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively.
To be considered for the role you will hold a degree or equivalent, be qualified to CIPD graduate level or above, and have proven experience of managing a human resources operation in a complex organisation.
