Job description

We are supporting a prestigious international law firm in hiring a Senior HR Business Partner for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected global organisation at the heart of its London operations.

Reporting to the Head of HR, this role will focus on partnering with senior stakeholders across the fee earner teams. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to shape and influence the firm’s people strategy, while gaining valuable exposure to global HR practices and cross-border collaboration. The firm fosters a culture of excellence, inclusion, and continuous improvement-providing the ideal environment to grow, contribute, and make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong, effective partnerships with senior managers and directors across the business.
  • Lead the performance management process and coach leaders on giving impactful feedback.
  • Collaborate on strategic HR projects aligned to broader business objectives.
  • Support salary review and bonus processes with insight and data analysis.
  • Work with Learning & Development to identify and implement development needs.
  • Work with Recruitment to identify future hiring needs.
  • Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement and recognition.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure a consistent and aligned HR approach.

About You

  • Proven HR experience at a senior level, ideally within legal or broader professional services is a non-negotiable.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Confident advising on complex HR issues with sound judgement.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a high-performance, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with advanced Excel capabilities.
  • CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Degree-educated or equivalent experience.
