Qualifications

Job description

VANRATH is delighted to be partnering a rapidly growing manufacturing business based in Belfast with the appointment of a Senior HR Generalist.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will shape and develop the HR function to support the future growth of the business.

In this role you will manage day-to-day HR activities and support a positive, compliant people culture across our group.

This role offers a clear progression path to HR Manager and involves responsibility for the full employee lifecycle.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes.
  • Lead or advise on disciplinary, grievance, and absence cases.
  • Coordinate probation reviews, performance reviews, talent and succession planning.
  • Chair the Engage & Empower committee focusing on culture, engagement, and charity initiatives.
  • Maintain HR policies, HRMS data, and statutory monitoring for NI & ROI.
  • Produce HR metrics for senior management decision-making.
  • Plan and track training and development activities.
  • Liaise with the Assistant Accountant to ensure accurate and on-time payroll processing.
  • Administer employee benefits.
  • Assist with Health and Safety and ISO accreditation administration.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' HR generalist experience, including at least 2 years at a senior/officer level.
  • CIPD Level 5 Diploma or higher.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of NI employment law and HR best practices.
  • Proven track record managing the full employee lifecycle.
  • Highly organised and clear communicator, able to influence at all levels.

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of ROI employment law.
