About the role...

We can’t say it enough…. we’re growing!!! To support with that we are now looking for a new Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) to come and join our People Team, looking after our CP Digital, Wealth & Operations service lines.

As a key member of the leadership teams, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the people strategy across our newest service line along with supporting our Operational Functional teams and Wealth business. This role will business partner the Chief Operating Officer and associated leadership teams - acting as a trusted advisor, strategic partner, and change leader, ensuring alignment between business goals and people initiatives.

Whatever it is, you’ll be the senior face of HR to your business areas and will understand the importance of focusing on delivering a brilliant proactive service as well as getting involved in exciting projects and initiatives.

You'll also be a member of the People Leadership team and will drive key team activities, objectives and support in the development of not only your team but the wider people team.

The day to day includes (but not limited to):

  • Attending functional leadership meetings and as a trusted partner of the leadership teams, contributing to discussions, challenges and ultimately supporting in the achievement of their people plans and goals
  • Understanding the strategic needs of your business areas and be able to work with your team to translate those needs into an actionable people plan
  • Leading and supporting your team to deliver strategic HR advice across the entire employee life cycle, including resourcing, engagement, talent & succession planning, performance, capability and development as well as acquisitions and integration projects and deliverables.
  • Supporting the wider people team as an escalation point, working closely with the other functional areas across the people team in the development and execution of the teams’ rocks, goals and people plan
  • Organising team meetings, developing and leading agendas
  • Leading key transformational business and HR projects
  • Utilising data and analysis to drive better people management decision making
  • Playing a leading role in delivering & ensuring that performance management, development, succession, and hiring are aligned to a Gallup Strengths based approach
  • Leading your team to identify opportunities to increase employee engagement
  • Working with the senior leadership teams to develop behaviours aligned with our values and drive appropriate change to transform and improve organisational effectiveness
  • Being a strategic contributor to decision making

This role is more than just the above; we're looking for someone who will get proactively involved in leading the HR team. Someone who'll support colleagues in their development, drive engagement and act as a point of guidance and knowledge.

About you...

As a Senior HR Business Partner, you’ll know how to have fun, build relationships quickly and demonstrate a determination and drive for getting it right first time.

You’ll be comfortable operating at pace, with a huge amount of change and ambiguity that a fast moving, entrepreneurial business brings. As well as…

  • Ideally be CIPD level 7 qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • Have professional service experience would be handy
  • Experience of being a member of leadership teams and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience working in a strategic capacity supporting a service line/function/department
  • Experience of leading and developing a team
  • Experience of working through change, transformation and TUPE.
  • Culture alignment experience, ability to lead and drive change
  • International experience is also a big advantage, specifically South Africa and the Philippines.

You’ll also need to be willing to travel between our Castle Donington, Birmingham and London offices.
