Job description

Fixed term contract Vacancy – Senior HR Business Partner

Location:Flexible/Home-based with travel to some sites (Bedford, Peterborough or Welwyn)
Salary: £55,000 per annum

Contract length:6 months
Hours:Full time

You’ll lead the people agenda across key services, aligning workforce priorities with organisational goals. You’ll drive initiatives that enhance engagement, performance, and culture, while also leading on complex change programmes and strategic people projects.

This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering person-centred care through people.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Partner with senior leaders to co-design and deliver people strategies
  • Lead service-level people plans and workforce transformation initiatives
  • Provide expert guidance on complex ER cases, restructures, and change management
  • Champion leadership development, succession planning, and talent strategies
  • Use workforce data and analytics to inform strategic decisions
  • Collaborate across the People Team to ensure seamless employee experience
  • Represent the People function on key working groups and boards

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive HR experience in a business partnering role (ideally in healthcare)
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR policy, and organisational change
  • Proven ability to influence, coach, and challenge senior leaders
  • Strategic thinker with excellent emotional intelligence and communication skills
  • Confident working with data, systems, and workforce planning tools
