Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Brighton is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to act as the main HR contact for frontline staff and to partner with site leaders to drive strategic initiatives. The role focuses on workforce planning, talent development and performance management within a defense-tech environment.

Candidates should be degree qualified or CIPD certified, with strong communication skills and experience in HR systems such as PeopleSoft, Oracle and SuccessFactors.

• Experience as HRBP with increasing scope, ideally in matrix and government contracting environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary day-to-day HR contact for frontline employees, providing guidance on HR processes, policies and standard practices.
• Partner with site leaders, HRBPs and Centres of Excellence to implement strategic initiatives.
• Drive workforce planning, talent development, performance management and compensation for site leadership.
• Utilize analytics to provide proactive recommendations and root-cause solutions for employee engagement.
• Lead end-to-end talent management projects and change management initiatives.

L3Harris in Brighton are part of our Release Systems & Antennas division operating in the Aerospace domain. For over 70 years, L3Harris has designed and developed industry-leading carriage and release systems for fighter, rotary-wing and unmanned platforms and we design, manufacture and test a large portion of our release systems portfolio in our Brighton facility which offers 48,500 square feet of manufacturing space. Our mission-critical release systems equipment is on most major airborne fighter platforms worldwide, including the F-35, along with other aircraft like the Gripen and Typhoon.

What The Role Will Involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

• Act as the primary day-to-day HR contact for frontline employees, providing guidance on HR processes, policies, and standard practices
• Directly support site leaders and employees, and partner with other business leaders, HRBPs, and Center of Excellence to implement strategic initiatives to drive business growth and improve organisational capability
• Partner with Division and Sector HR team to drive enterpirse strategies
• Utilize trends and analytics to provide proactive recommendations and propose solutions to enable sound talent divisions and initiatives
• Identify and diagnose issues to develop, recommend, and implement root cause solutions that enhance employee engagement/experience
• Build and utilise relationships with functional HRBPs to influence business priorities within the functions
• Responsible for leading end-to-end talent management processes for site leadership, including workforce planning, talent development, performance management, and compensation
• Manage projects and special initiatives within and outside the HR function
• Provides change management leadership

What You’ll Bring

The role requires the following experience and skills:

• Degree qualified with substantial previous related experience/CIPD qualified/HR qualification.
• Experience working as an HR Business Partner with increasing scope and responsibility, supporting various levels within the organisation, preferably within a matrix and government contracting environment
• Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing, coaching, and consulting skills
• Possesses a high degree of professional integrity and confidentiality with an eye for attention to detail
• Knowledge of HR systems such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, and SuccessFactors
