About Our Client

Due to continued growth, the client are looking to recruit a Senior HR Advisor on a part time basis to start ASAP at their offices in Tilbury. The role will predominantly be supporting a high volume of employee relations cases, as well as engage in project work to improve the overall HR function and drive best practice across the business.

Job Description

As a Senior HR Advisor your key responsibilities will be:

  • Provide advice and guidance to employees and managers on a wide range of HR matters e.g. policies, pay, benefits, and employment legislation
  • Keep up to date with employment law and ensure any changes are implemented effectively within the business
  • Lead disciplinary and grievance investigations, advise line managers on process and outcomes
  • Prepare for negotiation meetings with Unions
  • Assist the admin team with processing payroll
  • Assist the HR manager with recruitment activities
  • Work closely with OH to ensure absence management is monitored and reduced
  • Lead and support with ad hoc HR projects

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be CIPD qualified or qualified by experience
  • Have worked in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • Be confident managing complex ER cases from start to finish and have experience leading investigations
  • Able to work on a part time basis minimum 25 hours per week
  • Be local to Tilbury
  • Have excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Be professional in their approach
