Job description

Once For All is a high-growth, cloud-based, SaaS subscription business. Our technology helps our customers to manage their supply chain governance, risk management, and compliance. We work across the public and private sectors and have over 250k customers across the UK, spanning 20 different sectors including construction, transport, retail, hospitality, education, facility and property management, manufacturing, and local and central government.

Role summary:

As the Senior HR Advisor, you will advise and support colleagues and managers throughout the full employee lifecycle, ensuring effective HR solutions. You will be responsible for supporting senior leaders to achieve business objectives and fostering a high-performing team.

This is an integral role within a small HR team, suited to someone enthusiastic about making a difference, with ideas around wellbeing, reward and recognition, employee engagement, and other HR projects.

Key responsibilities of the role:
  1. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance HR processes and overall business performance.
  2. Support line managers in managing performance, absence, discipline, and grievance procedures.
  3. Provide advice to managers and employees on employment policies, practices, and legislation.
  4. Support, advise, and counsel line managers on objectives, performance, and reward.
  5. Monitor, review, and update local HR policies to ensure compliance with legislation.
  6. Work with Occupational Health to coordinate health checks and reviews, make employee referrals, and develop plans for health issues.
  7. Collaborate with external payroll providers to review and support payroll data management.
  8. Assist in collating and analyzing People trends across the business.
  9. Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, career development, and offboarding.
  10. Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects.
  11. Coach and upskill line managers on HR matters.
  12. Innovate HR practices to position the company as an employer of choice.
  13. Support the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
  1. Experience as an HR generalist at Advisor or Senior Advisor level, working collaboratively within a team and supporting business growth.
  2. Proven experience partnering with senior leaders to support team and business performance.
  3. Experience managing the full employee lifecycle with a focus on continuous improvement.
  4. Strong UK employment law and employee relations knowledge.
  5. Experience leading employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, wellbeing, and EDI.
  6. Sector experience is not essential but experience in an SME within the commercial industry is preferred.
  7. CIPD or equivalent qualification.
