More About The Role

At Morrisons, our people make us who we are, and we're here to support them every step of the way.

We're looking for an employee relations expert to join our friendly central ER team as part of our centralised HR Helpline Team. Based at our head office in Bradford, this role involves offering clear, confident, and caring HR support to store managers and colleagues across the UK. Responsibilities include managing absence, performance issues, disciplinary matters, and investigations, providing guidance via phone, video calls, and email.

You will need to be in the office at least 2 days per week, and support weekend cover 1 in 4 due to our retail operation running 7 days a week.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Being a key contact on our central people helpline
2. Providing timely, accurate advice on HR policies and processes
3. Supporting and leading remote investigations in line with company procedures
4. Working closely with store and area managers to resolve complex ER cases
5. Maintaining clear and detailed records of advice given and actions taken
6. Spotting trends and escalating risks to drive improvements across the business

About You

You will be a strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident handling sensitive matters with care and clarity, often over the phone.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has solid HR and ER experience, ideally in a multi-site or retail environment
• Is confident advising on a wide range of people issues
• Is comfortable managing cases from start to finish
• Has a good knowledge of UK employment law
• Works well as part of a team and is always looking to improve ways of working
