Job description

The Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has opened up for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our client's leading engineering and maintenance provider. You will be responsible for assisting in the smooth running of HR processes and activities across the site, ensuring compliance with HR Policies, Client practices and procedures, and UK regulatory requirements.

Your Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Manage the Recruitment and Onboarding Administration Process from the point of role approval through to hire date of new starters, including Security Clearance, Induction (any pre-arrival training), informing payroll, arranging on-site welfare, and ensuring all documentation is completed, approved, and processed.
  2. Manage the referencing process for all new starters, verifying all information to ensure it is accurate, corresponds to application information, and aligns with HR Policy and UK regulatory requirements.
  3. Manage the Vetting and Identification process for all new starters to ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and corroborates with the appropriate authorities in line with client requirements, HR Policy, and UK regulatory requirements.
  4. Provide support to the Visa application processes to enable key employees from other Bilfinger entities to mobilise to site in accordance with timescales.
  5. Monitor and chase information related to HR processes to minimise delays in site resourcing and mobilisation.
  6. Respond to all HR queries to provide accurate and appropriate information or guidance, or escalation as appropriate.
  7. Ensure all Leavers are processed in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all company property is returned, site security access revoked, payroll advised, and all documentation completed in line with the HR leavers procedure.
  8. Review and input all appropriate data entered onto HR and finance systems/databases to ensure accurate and real-time information is available.
  9. Deliver highly responsive administrative support to the HRD and Operational Leads to resolve people and process issues.
  10. Produce HR Management information to meet standard and ad-hoc reporting requirements.
  11. Identify and suggest opportunities to improve the HR processes and procedures to reflect best practice and remove barriers to efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Degree qualification in HR or related subject.
  2. Working towards CIPD qualification.
  3. WIMS Requirements.
  4. Competency Based Interview.
  5. Mandatory CCNSG.
