Job description
Overview

We are looking for an experienced and pragmatic Senior HR Advisor to join the People team at a leading Higher Education Institute during a period of restructuring and organisational change. In addition to the hourly rate you will accrue holiday pay. A day rate can be discussed if preferred. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted advisor on HR matters, with a focus on employee relations and supporting individuals through change.
  • Attend and guide sensitive meetings, review and approve follow-up actions, and oversee documentation such as settlement agreements and redundancy confirmations.
  • Ensure enhanced redundancy payments are applied fairly and consistently in line with policy.
About you
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in complex employee relations casework.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and settlement agreements.
  • Excellent communicator, confident in handling sensitive issues.
  • Organised, professional and able to juggle multiple cases.
