Job description

Are you an experienced HR Advisor looking for your next opportunity or an established Senior HR Advisor?

As a Senior HR Advisor, you will partner with specific assigned business areas in both a strategic and hands-on role to provide full cycle HR support.

As an HR Generalist, you will be confident with identifying organisational and people priorities, adopting a responsive and solution-focused approach, and delivering best practice support. You will establish yourself as a trusted advisor within the business.

You will partner with managers on all their people-related matters, including recruitment, employee relations, culture and engagement, internal communication, organisation, performance management, and talent development.

This will be an exciting position well-suited to someone who is confident with all HR disciplines and who can bring an operational and solutions-focused approach. This role is critical in executing our HR initiatives, providing excellent internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.

Main duties of the job

You will develop effective relationships with key stakeholders across your business areas, partnering with them, providing solution-focused outcomes, and supporting them with people matters.

You will complement the existing HR Team in delivering an efficient and effective value-added service to the business, which includes systemised and standardised HR systems and processes, such as recruitment and selection, performance development, people management, policy and practices, professional registration, education, coaching, training and development, absence management, workforce health and wellbeing, and payroll.

This is a hands-on role where you will guide and support managers with solutions and provide step-by-step advice as appropriate.

About the Practice/Department/Team

As part of the Human Resources team based at Exchange Court, Corby, you will work with a talented group of professionals all committed to providing a quality, dynamic, solutions-based service to our internal customers across our partnership.

You will join the HR Team during a growth phase, aiming to deliver an enhanced offering across all sites. You will work alongside like-minded colleagues dedicated to achieving our core KPIs and the success of our people and patient services.

Job responsibilities

You will provide HR guidance and operational advice to staff and managers on workforce planning, terms & conditions, absence and attendance, discipline, grievance, harassment and bullying, and organizational change, ensuring consistent application of employment law and business-focused solutions. You will support line managers in managing disciplinaries and grievances and coach them through these processes.

You will work with site leads to develop true partnerships, offering standard and bespoke solutions to site-specific challenges.

As a professional and critical friend to senior site leads, you will exemplify our corporate values and behaviors.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Educated to a minimum of CIPD Level 5.
  • Knowledge of current employment legislation.
  • Associated CIPD member.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
Experience
  • Operational HR experience across multiple sites (e.g., sickness absence meetings, investigations, people management, change processes, 1:1 staff meetings).
  • Experience delivering high-quality HR support across departments or sites.
  • Planning and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to Equality and Diversity principles.
  • Role-modeling corporate values and behaviors.
  • Workforce planning and recruitment experience.
  • Experience writing legally compliant communications, such as invitation and outcome letters.
  • Payroll process and administration experience.
  • Experience developing and delivering training workshops to managers.
