An established arts university in the North of England seeks a Senior HR Adviser to join its Human Resources team. This role involves leading employee relations initiatives, addressing discipline and grievance matters, and supporting recruitment and staff development activities. The ideal candidate will possess a degree and/or a level 5 CIPD qualification, along with substantial experience in handling employee relations casework. An opportunity has arisen to join the University’s Human Resources team as one of two Senior HR Advisers. Reporting to an HR Manager, these roles lead and provide support on a range of employee relations issues such as discipline, grievance, and absence management and are involved in a range of HR activities including recruitment, job evaluation, and staff development. Working closely with members of the team that support payroll and timetabling, the roles provide support and guidance to the wider team to help ensure that the team provides an effective HR service.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and/or hold a level 5 CIPD qualification and have substantial experience of dealing with ER issues and casework. They will be able to work effectively as a member of a team and on their own initiative, have excellent organisational and time management skills, and excellent communication skills including the ability to deliver complex information in a clear and succinct manner.
