Job summary

Oliver Bernard is seeking an experienced Senior HPC Engineer for a hedge fund in London. The role involves joining a top HPC team, contributing to one of the world’s largest HPC clusters, and building software, file systems and tooling to drive performance in finance.

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of systems administration and engineering, networking and file systems.
• Deep underlying stack knowledge across CPU, GPU and memory tuning.
• Strong automation knowledge.
• Good knowledge of Slurm Workload Manager.
• A passion for learning and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Join a leading HPC team and contribute to a world‑class research and production cluster.
• Work on one of the largest HPC clusters in the world and help write software, filesystems and tools.
• Design and implement bespoke filesystem projects and monitoring/observability automation.
• Assist bare metal provisioning and system optimization for performance and reliability.
