Are you passionate and committed to improving the quality and safety of housing? Are you looking for an exciting opportunity where you will be encouraged to use your initiative to shape and improve service delivery? Then we have three exciting opportunities for you to join our team.

As a Senior Housing Regulation Officer, you will investigate poor conditions in the private rented sector and take action to bring living conditions up to standard, using the full range of enforcement powers where necessary. You will respond to service requests from residents, take part in pro-active enforcement action, and work to deliver our mandatory HMO licensing scheme. Later this year we will be consulting on discretionary additional and selective licensing designations.

Successful candidates will have a degree in environmental health or housing, or equivalent qualifications or experience. They will have some experience of working in an environmental health or housing field, and an understanding of the Housing Health and Safety Rating Scheme, and the licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupation, though applications from less experienced candidates are also welcome. Most importantly the candidate will be enthusiastic, highly inquisitive, and have a passion for improving housing standards.
